WHAT IS ARMARIUM?
We are a luxury styling service that is giving women access to top designers on a borrowed basis for a fraction of the retail price. Most of our garments are current season, but we also have the most recent past season and vintage garments as well.

We are a luxury for loan service and we offer professional styling services by phone, email, and in-person in most major cities.
WHAT MAKES ARMARIUM DIFFERENT TO SIMILAR SERVICES OUT THERE?
Armarium is providing exclusive access to top designers and their garments straight off the runway. We offer statement pieces that are perfect for that first date or black tie wedding when making an impression is important and you want to look your best, but you might not want to own that look because you are unlikely going to wear it again.
We also have a group of experienced stylists who have worked with celebrities, magazines, and more who can make well-educate, super stylish recommendations for any occasion.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
After requesting a key to our iOS application, you will receive an email confirming your Armarium membership. Then, you can log on to the app, create a client profile, and begin to browse through our inventory. Our website has all of our content and you can add garments and accessories to your favorites, but the transaction process can only take place on our app.
The transaction process on the app starts with you choosing a garment and/or accessory, selecting your size, requesting the dates you want to reserve it for, inputting your payment information and confirming your order.
Your garment and/or accessories will arrive on day one of your reservation, you will keep them for two days after that, and return them on the fourth day with your prepaid shipping label.
THE IDEAL TIMELINE
HOW MUCH LESS ARE YOUR GARMENTS THAN THE RETAIL PRICE?
The price for every garment varies based on the brand, the item, and the season. Our goal is to make this affordable so the price is 10-20% of the retail price; about 12% on average.
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE THE GARMENT FOR?
Our borrowing period is 4 days. Day 1 is the day you receive the garment and day 4 is the day you will return the garment.
CAN I BORROW THE GARMENT FOR LONGER THAN 4 DAYS?
Yes, we understand that there are some circumstances where you will need to extend your borrowing period. We have a flat fee of $50 a day for each day after the 4-day rental.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I RESERVE A GARMENT?
You can place an order on a garment as far as 3 months before your event. When you place the order you will be charged the price of the garment and the flat-rate shipping fee to ensure your reservation of the garment.
WHY CAN’T I SELECT SUNDAY AS DAY 1 OF MY BORROWING PERIOD?
We do not ship garments out for Sunday arrivals, so please choose Saturday or Monday arrivals.
I am selecting Thursday as my starting date for my borrowing period and instead of four days, it is SWITCHING TO FIVE DAYS TO MAKE MONDAY MY RETURN DAY; WHY IS THAT?
This is happening because our shipping labels aren’t created for you to ship back on Sunday. You will not be charged for the fifth day, just please be sure to return your garment on Monday by 12 PM.
CAN I BORROW MORE THAN ONE GARMENT AT A TIME?
Of course! The rental period will be the same if two or more garments are placed within the same order. Unless you want more than one option to choose from for your next event, we suggest you place separate orders to stagger the delivery dates and get the most use out of each garment.
Currently, our software is set up so you can order one garment at a time. The shipping fees will come up separately, but if you place an order for more than one garment or accessory for the same arrival date within one hour, the shipping fees will only be charged once.
WILL THE GARMENT NEED TO BE STEAMED WHEN IT ARRIVES?
We will make sure your garment is steamed and wrinkle-free when we send it out to you, but we can’t control wrinkling that results from the shipping process so it is a possibility that the garment will need to be steamed when it arrives. We would just advise you to keep the steamer on low heat, if possible, and if you have any questions about how to care for your garment do not hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for instructions.
HOW CAN I BE THE MOST CONFIDENT THAT A GARMENT WILL FIT ME AND LOOK GOOD?
Properly measuring yourself is a great way to see if a garment will fit your body type in the way you want it to. Once you have measurements, you can compare them to the measurements we provide with each garment. Click here to get started.

WHAT IF THE GARMENT DOESN’T FIT ME?
We want to ensure that you love your garment and that you have something fabulous to wear to your event. There are a couple ways to avoid this problem, as well as fix it if this happens.
Before you place an order:
Consider adding a second size of the same style to your order, if that option is available and/or order a second style as backup. The second size is an additional garment so you will be charged full price for it. However we do offer a 50% refund on the second size if it is returned unworn, which Armarium will discern as so.
After you receive your garment:
Reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can overnight you a different style or size in time for your event. The borrowing fee for the return garment will be credited towards the fee of the garment being shipped to you plus shipping.
If you are in New York, we can messenger you a new garment promptly or you can stop by the showroom and we will accommodate you right away.
In the event the garment does not fit, please return your unworn garment within 24 hours of receiving it and we will be sure to issue you a full credit for your next order. If time allows, we would be happy to overnight you a replacement garment less $50 from the original shipping fee you were charged.
CAN I MAKE ALTERATIONS ON MY BORROWED GARMENT(S)?
We understand that not every garment will fit perfectly, so we do allow reversible alterations on some garments, such as shortening a hem with professional hand sewing, but we can’t allow cutting or any extreme alterations to be made. We have a list of tailors we can recommend in most major cities in the U.S. so please feel free to ask us for help in that regard. Alterations are to be covered by you, but if you come into our New York City showroom we have an in-house tailor that can make any alterations for you.
We can also make alterations in the showroom prior to shipping out a garment if you provide us with exact measurements. This is hard to do in some cases because you may be unsure about the shoe you will be wearing. However, if you do know the shoe height and your exact measurements, we can make the alterations prior to shipping.
Book a styling consultation with a stylist in your are and they can help you with measurements as well as make suggestions about what looks would be perfect for your upcoming event!
HOW DO YOU CLEAN YOUR GARMENTS?
We work with experienced dry cleaners in New York City who understand the care required in cleaning our garments. No matter how delicate or embellished, you can be sure the garment you are receiving has been cleaned for your use.
CAN I BUY A GARMENT?
If the garment is not available anywhere else in the market and is not currently loaned out to another client, we will sell you the garment at a price determined by Armarium depending on the condition and season of the garment. If it is not available in the market and it is currently loaned out, you can go on a waitlist and we will notify you of our twice annual sample sale. If it is available in the market, our stylists will direct you to the brand’s boutique, website or retail partner.
CAN I BORROW A GARMENT, WEAR IT TO MY EVENT, AND THEN LET A FRIEND WEAR IT DURING MY BORROWING PERIOD?
The Terms & Conditions you agree upon when placing an order states that you are to be the only person who wears any garment borrowed during your borrowing period. However, we cannot control what you do. If someone else wears the garment during your rental period and something happens to it you will be held liable.
WHAT IF I DAMAGE THE GARMENT DURING MY BORROWING PERIOD?
When you place an order you agree to the terms & conditions, which states any unrepairable damage made to a garment will result in a cost of:
Full retail price for current season garments
50% off the retail price for past season garments
WHO ARE THE ARMARIUM STYLISTS?
Our stylists have a range of experience, from celebrity and editorial to personal styling. All of our stylists are well versed in the Armarium inventory and will not rest until you are satisfied with your look for your next event. They will make unique suggestions to complete the look head to toe.
HOW DO I BOOK A STYLIST?
You can book a stylist on the app by inputing your location and stylists able to travel to your area will appear. From there, you can book a styling call or in-person appointment based on the stylist’s availability.
You can also call our New York City showroom and we can help schedule a styling appointment or you can reach out to email@example.com to book an appointment. We offer styling appointments in most major cities, but can always accommodate you over the phone, FaceTime, Skype, and email.
Our complimentary 15-minute styling call is a great way to be introduced to Armarium and our styling services. You can call our New York City showroom at (646) 580-7464 to speak with one of our in-house stylists or after you book a stylist in your city, you can have the 15-minute styling call with that stylist as well.
WHAT IF THE COMPLIMENTARY STYLING CALL TAKES LONGER THAN 15 MINUTES?
We are confident we can cover the most pertinent information in the time allotted and can always go over by a few minutes if need be. Communication between the client and the stylist will continue over email after the call.
IF I AM NOT IN NY, WHAT WILL MY STYLING APPOINTMENT CONSIST OF?
Currently we are unable to send inventory for styling appointments prior to borrowing, so here are three types of styling appointments available outside of New York that will satisfy your styling needs:
Create your look with a styling consultation: This is perfect prior to borrowing any garments from Armarium. A stylist will come to your home, create a client profile, discuss your upcoming event and go through the lookbook with you. Your stylist will measure you properly and make recommendations that would fit you best and look perfect for your event. It’s up to you how you want to spend your time with the stylist, so take advantage of any time leftover and think about your event calendar for future engagements!
Finish your look with a styling appointment: This is perfect after you have placed an order with Armarium. If you would like to schedule a stylist for Day 2 of your borrowing period, they can come to your home and help complete your entire look with accessories, and even hair and makeup. If any alterations need to be made, they can pin you and recommend an experienced tailor in your area.
Book a styling appointment anytime: There is a reason our stylists are included on our site, in a word, they are amazing. Book an appointment with them anytime you’d like no matter what your styling needs are! We want to be a resource for trusted stylists in the industry
CAN I CANCEL A STYLING APPOINTMENT?
You can cancel a styling appointment in our showroom up to 48 hours prior to the appointment. If you cancel less than 48 hours of the appointment you will be credited 50% of the fee.
A freelance styling appointment must be cancelled 72 hours prior to the appointment. If you cancel less than 72 hours of the appointment you will not receive any refund or credit for the appointment.
PLACING AN ORDER
HOW CAN I BORROW A GARMENT?
In order to borrow a dress you must download our iOS app on any iPhone. You must request access to the app and once the app is unlocked you may continue to make a client profile and start browsing our inventory to borrow pieces.
IF I DON’T HAVE AN IPHONE, CAN I STILL BORROW A GARMENT?
Yes. We are working hard to bring our app to all operating systems, but in the mean time please contact our New York City showroom to get started with a stylist. We will email you a digital lookbook and once you have chosen a garment you like, please let us know and we will manually place your order for you.
WHY ISN’T MY CARD GOING THROUGH?
If your payment card is not being processed, please double check that your billing information matches the information you have inputted into your profile.
WHERE CAN I FIND MY ORDER NUMBER?
On the app, select the key in the top right corner and select Rentals. There you will find your past and upcoming rentals.
CHANGING AN ORDER
CAN I CHANGE MY SHIPPING INFORMATION AFTER PLACING AN ORDER?
Yes, you can change order information up to 72 hours before your arrival date. In your account, scroll down and select My Orders. Select the order you want to change and select Edit Order. If the order has not been shipped out, you can change the shipping address there.
CAN I CHANGE THE SIZES IN MY ORDER AFTER PLACING MY ORDER?
Yes. In order to check if the correct size is available for the dates you need the garment for, you need to place a new order, so you can either:
First, cancel the previous order with the incorrect size and place a new order.
Or, place a new order first to ensure the size you want is available and then cancel the old order with the wrong size.
CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER’S DELIVERY DATE?
To change your order’s delivery date you must cancel the order and resubmit a new order with the new dates.
Cancelling an Order
HOW DO I CANCEL AN ORDER?
Please call us at (646) 580-7464 to help you refund your order based on the following policy.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
If you cancel an order period to 30 days, we offer a full refund and you will not be charged any cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 30-15 days before your shipping date, we will refund you a full credit towards your next order less a $50 cancellation fee.
If you cancel less than 15 days before your shipping date, we will refund you a partial credit towards your next order less a $100 cancellation fee.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
Currently, our shipping fee is a flat rate of $50. In New York City, we offer a $15 courier service each way and you always have the option to pick up your pieces and drop them off in person as well.
Please keep the original packaging your order arrives in for your return.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Not as of yet, but we are working hard to get there!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I BORROW A GARMENT, IT IS SHIPPED TO ME, AND I DON’T END UP WEARING IT?
We have already blocked out the garment’s availability and shipped it to you, so unfortunately you cannot be refunded or credited for your order.
IF I AM IN THE NEW YORK AREA, CAN I HAVE ONE GARMENT MESSENGERED TODAY AND ONE GARMENT MESSENGERED TOMORROW?
Yes, but that will incur two separate messenger fees, $15 per drop off and $15 per pick up. Each garment will have different borrowing periods as well based on the arrival date.
WHEN WILL I BE RECEIVING MY ORDER?
Your order will arrive on Day 1 of your borrowing period by 8 PM.
Our Care team and the push notifications on the app will be updating you when your package is sent out with its tracking number and when your package arrives.
WHAT IF MY ORDER DOESN’T ARRIVE IN TIME FOR MY EVENT?
We do our best to ensure your package will arrive on the expected date, but we know shipping companies may run into unexpected delays that are out of our control. In the event that this happens, we will issue you a full credit towards your next rental and, if there is time to do so, we can overnight a new style to you.
IF MY ORDER ARRIVES THE DAY AFTER THE EXPECTED ARRIVAL DATE, DO I STILL HAVE 4 DAYS UNTIL I HAVE TO RETURN IT?
Yes. Day 1 of your rental is always the day you receive your order and day 4 is the day your return you order.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY GARMENT IF I HAVE AN EVENT ON TUESDAY?
Because no mail can be delivered on Sunday to give you a full two days before your event, we will ship your garment out on Saturday for a Monday AM delivery, which should give you enough time to try your garment on and see if any alterations are required. Day 4 of your borrowing period will be Thursday and your garment must be returned by 12 PM that day.
HOW DO I RETURN MY ORDER AFTER MY BORROWING PERIOD IS OVER?
If the delivery packaging is in good condition, please place your garment back in the same box and attach the prepaid return label, which was included in the grey envelope you received with the garment, onto the front of package. Then, drop it off at your nearest FedEx location.
WHAT IF I THREW AWAY THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING?
We do our best to let you know the original packaging should be used for your return. If it has been thrown away, you will have to purchase new packaging to return the garment(s) and you can attach the pre-paid return label we sent with your order.
WHAT IF I THREW AWAY THE PRE-PAID RETURN LABEL?
Please contact us immediately and we can re-issue you a return label in a PDF format directly to your email.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO RETURN MY GARMENT BY?
Your return must be postmarked by 12 PM on the fourth day of your borrowing period. If it is postmarked after 12 PM or any day after the fourth day of your borrowing period, you will charged a $50 late fee each day it is not shipped back to us.

WHERE CAN I CHANGE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION (NAME, BILLING AND SHIPPING ADDRESS, ETC.)?
In the top right corner of the app you can select the key and then select Profile. Under each item you can choose to edit your email, change your shipping address, and change your billing information.
WHERE CAN I FIND PAST ORDERS?
We have organized all orders by current, past, and future orders, which you can find in your account profile after clicking the My Orders button.
Current orders are orders that will be shipped out within 2 weeks.
Past orders have been returned.
Future orders are reserved garments that will be shipped out further than 2 weeks from now.
I FOUND THIS GARMENT ONLINE THAT I LOVE. CAN ARMARIUM BUY IT SO IT CAN BE AVAILABLE FOR BORROWING?
Unfortunately, the orders have been placed with our vendors and we can’t accommodate individual requests for garments to be added to our inventory. However, we appreciate all feedback and value your opinion so please feel free to reach out to email@example.com with any suggestions you have that you would like us to consider.
THE GARMENT I RECEIVED ISN’T IN PERFECT CONDITION, CAN I HAVE AN ADDITIONAL DISCOUNT?
We took the condition of the garment into consideration when we priced it.
CAN I HAVE MY PERSONAL GARMENTS ON CONSIGNMENT AVAILABLE ON YOUR APP?
